Phillip L. Parsons has been an Assistant Scoutmaster in our troop since 2005; however, he has been in scouts since 1984 when he joined the Cub Scouts. As a Scout, he attended the National Scout Jamboree, camped at Philmont Scout Reservation and became an Eagle Scout in 1994. He is also Troop 176's Order Of The Arrow advisor. Scouting has always held a special place with his family. His brother, Nick, is also an Eagle Scout. To illustrate this point, Phil said, "All of my best friends came from the Scouting experience!" Phil is involved with many Leavenworth and Lansing Community services. He is on the Board of Directors of the Leavenworth Youth Achievement Center, Lansing Kiwanis, Unified County Business Network, Lansing Business After Hours, Leadership Leavenworth Lansing, Leavenworth Facilities Steering Committee and a Co-Founder of the Young Professionals of Leavenworth/Lansing. He is also an active member of the Westside Family Church. Phil graduated from Oklahoma State University and is the Financial Center Manager at Mid-American Bank and Trust Company. We are fortunate to have Phil as part of our Scouting Program.
