orship is central to FCC Leavenworth, and the worship ministry is, along with the minister, responsible for all worship services. At the present, time the Sunday morning services tend toward the traditional. Both services feature the pipe organ, piano, choir and congregational singing. Communion is served at every service and is open to all believers. There is no test of faith required, only the consultation with one’s own conscience. Various worship elements, such as scripture, prayer and sermon, are nearly always a part of the service. During seasonal or special services, there are sometimes variations in these worship elements and other special music or drama may be a part of the service. The music program is also a major part of the worship ministry, and exists to enhance the worship services. It also serves as a fellowship experience for those who participate. Singers and musicians range from 3-year-old children to adults and many different styles of music are experienced. Instruments used are primarily the organ and piano; however, sometimes drums, guitars, percussion instruments, horns and even recorded music are also incorporated in the service. The congregation especially enjoys hearing the children sing during the worship service. Those who participate gain much by their study of music and their fellowship with other musicians. There is always room for one more choir member!
