The Disciples Men Fellowship, locally titled Christian Men's Fellowship, meets in the Kitterman room at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. It is a covered dish dinner meeting. We have dinner, devotions, a program and a short business meeting. All men of the church are members of this group (and we welcome others to join us). The CMF has two fundraisers during the year. The first is a pancake breakfast, where the money is given to the Disiciples Men's International Day of Pancakes where 100% of the money goes for grants that help build playgrounds for kids. The second fundraiser is car parking at the Leavenworth County Fair.The CMF group has been parking cars at the fair for over 30 years. The funds help special promotions at the church, pay camp fees for kids who would not be able to go to church camp or scout camp, to local charities, for disaster relief and any other need that the members see. During 2006, the group donated over $5,200 to these needs. LATEST NEWS FROM THE DMF (CMF) The annual DMF Pancake Breakfast held on March 10, netted $926.16 for the Disciples Men International Day of Pancakes. The men then voted to make it an even $1000.00 donation. Thanks to all those who worked and all who bought tickets and donated money and food items for a very successful breakfast.
